April showers brought May flowers—along with a host of programming at Beth Ahabah!
Congregants and their families showed off their skills in Beth Ahabah’s Talent Showcase on Sunday, April 27.

Paintings, drawings, illustrations, stained glass, and pottery were on display—as well as participants’ vocal, piano, guitar, and poetry expertise. Everyone enjoyed snacks and desserts during the show, and plans are in the works to organize a similar event again soon!
Sunday, May 4 was a busy day at Beth Ahabah!
After a morning of Religious School, the community gathered on the synagogue’s front steps for a one-mile Walk for Israel to begin the Yom HaAtzmaut celebrations.

At the end of the route, which stretched east up Monument Avenue and then looped back to the synagogue, walkers sang songs and chanted “Am Yisrael chai” before heading into Beth Ahabah’s sanctuary for a concert by Israeli pop sensation Micha Biton.

After enjoying an evening of music, the audience had the chance to meet the artist at a dessert reception.
