Second Night Passover Seder
On Thursday, April, approximately 165 congregants gathered to celebrate the second night of Passover in Beth Ahabah's Goldburg Auditorium.

The pot-luck dinner, which featured food brought by participants, featured a variety of homemade charoset, chopped liver, matzah ball soup, brisket, and a wide variety of other Passover favorites. Rabbi Nagel and Cantor Beck-Berman led the Seder, which included the ever-popular Plague Bags. Hail (ping pong balls) flew across the room, boils (bubble wrap) popped, and plastic frogs leaped across tables and into water jugs.
After dinner, all children in attendance found and ransomed afikomen.
Thank you to our amazing volunteers for bringing delicious food, as well as helping with setup and cleanup. Next year in Jerusalem!
Stages of Life Concert
Beth Ahabah hosted a concert featuring Music Director Natan Berenshteyn and local actor and singer Alia Bisharat Glidden on Sunday, April 12. The duo presented songs ranging from Disney tunes to Broadway melodies as Glidden chronicled her life through melodies and lyrics. The event raised funds for the Britlyn Weinstock Music Fund, which helps to sponsor amazing music programming though Congregation Beth Ahabah.
BATTY
Beth Ahabah Teens and Temple Youth (BATTY) programming has been going strong all year. From service projects to art projects to cooking workshops, our youth and teens have kept busy on Sunday afternoons! For their end-of-the-school-year program, the 2nd – 7th graders took a trip to Maymont Park. They especially enjoyed seeing the catfish, snapping turtle, and otters in the Nature Center, as well as exploring the Japanese gardens. The teen youth group has one more excursion planned—a trip to Busch Gardens—in early May.

Tot Shabbat
The littlest members of our community—kids five and under—have been gathering once per month at Beth Ahabah since September.
After an interactive joyful (and sometimes silly) Shabbat-related musical program with the clergy, tots enjoy challah, grape juice, bounce houses, snacks, and toys. There are two more Tot Shabbats before we take a break for the summer. Children five and under, as well as the people who drive them around, are welcome to join us at 9am on Saturday, May 30 and Saturday, June 20 for our final two Tot Shabbats before taking a break for the summer.
