What's Happening with Hadassah in August

President’s Letter

Hadassah Richmond invites you to cool off during August’s Dog Days of Summer by attending the chapter’s book group.

On Tuesday, August 12 at 6 p.m., Hadassah features the second installment of the chapter’s new twist to our book group.

It is no longer necessary to commit to reading an entire book. Watch the podcast, CHUTZPAH GIRLS with Mayim Bialik at https://www.hadassah.org/hmp/chutzpah-girls-with-mayim-bialik  prior to attending and partake in an engaging discussion.

From Miriam to Ruth Bader Ginsburg, strong Jewish women have had the guts to speak out, impact history, break barriers, and make a difference.

Celebrate those women with us in this empowering episode featuring Mayim Bialik. The first discussion was held on June 24 and featured an intimate discussion on the intersection of feminism and Jewish traditions.

Exciting Fall Programs

The Hadassah Richmond chapter is partnering with the Weinstein JCC on two exciting programs in the Fall. On Sunday, Sept. 14, learn the Art Challah Braiding with the Challah Prince. On Sunday, Nov. 16, attend a cooking demonstration with Beejhy Barhany, author of Gursha: Timeless Recipes for Modern Kitchens, From Ethiopia, Israel, Harlem and Beyond. She is the owner of Tsion Café, a renowned Ethiopian-Israeli restaurant in Harlem, New York City.

Interested in attending or working on any of these programs, or want more information, please reach out to me at arlenewiener@comcast.net.
