December 8 - Enrich For Life: Dr. Jan Powell: Remember the Ladies: A Women’s Re-enactment. The reimagining of the St. John’s Church reenactment done by an all-female cast. She will discuss the creation of a new viewpoint for a Richmond tradition. We will have a special holiday musical presentation before the speaker at 12:15 by the JCC Grand Tones performing holiday songs. Lunch is free and served at 11:45. December 15 - Megan Ferenczy, Education Director at the Virginia Holocaust Museum: “Greece During the Holocaust through Survivor Stories.” This presentation will share the background history of Greece during the Holocaust as well as the stories of Greek Jews who moved to Richmond after the War. (This program is rescheduled from March 2024)
December 22 - Jamie Clark, UNRAVLit: Stories That Bring Us Together. The program features a former Weinstein JCC employee, a recent contractor, and a storyteller who has supported numerous businesses and nonprofits through powerful, community-centered narratives. Relive the story of Jamie’s recent project with the JCC and the three heartfelt videos that grew from it, as well as acknowledgment of those that participated in interviews… 5400 Club members, Monika, Becky, June and Charles, with a celebration of the magic of the JCC’s multigenerational community, where children, adults, and seniors come together in ways only the JCC can inspire.
