RJF Launches Endowment Incentive Grant
Will Strengthen Long-Term Support for Our Community
The Richmond Jewish Foundation (RJF) has announced a new Endowment Incentive Grant Program designed to help community members transform annual giving into lasting, permanent support for the Richmond Jewish community.
Through the program, individuals who establish a new endowment fund at RJF will receive a 10% matching incentive grant, up to $3,600, helping donors grow their fund and increase its long-term impact. A minimum contribution of $5,000 is required to establish a new endowment.
“Endowments ensure that today’s generosity continues to support the Jewish community for generations to come,” said Daniel O. Brandeis, CEO. “This incentive grant makes it easier and more meaningful for donors to create a lasting legacy.”
Endowments are invested to produce annual income that supports charitable causes over time. For example, a $25,000 endowment can generate approximately $1,000 each year, based on RJF’s 4% income distribution formula.
With the Endowment Incentive Grant, a donor who contributes $25,000 would receive an additional $2,500 from RJF—bringing the fund’s total value to $27,500 and increasing its long-term impact.
The Endowment Incentive Grant Program is open to any community member establishing a new endowment that benefits the Richmond Jewish community. Matching funds are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
