The last page of the July/August 2025 Hadassah Magazine featured an interview with Deborah Harris. She has spent the last 45 years representing Israeli and Jewish writers in more than 50 countries. See below

Harris reminds us to support our Jewish writers, and in particular, new writers who have faced difficulty in reaching readers since October 7.
We can do our part by getting together to discuss newly published material. This would require us to make personal purchases, or better yet, request our local libraries to do so.
Hadassah has long supported book discussions. The Hadassah Richmond chapter has taken a new approach to book group discussions. We watch a short podcast that highlights the material and then meet to discuss the podcast. This technique encourages you to read the actual text. The approaching High Holidays is a perfect time to start something new and do a good deed. Support our Jewish authors.
I am suggesting you reach out to me with a piece of literature you would like to discuss, and I will help you organize the discussion group.
Also, see an important Hadassh Advocacy article too in this issue

I wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year. L’Shana Tova!
