There needs to be ZERO tolerance for Antisemitism!
In 2025, there were over 6,200 antisemitic incidents across the country, including two fatal attacks that devastatingly led to the deaths of three people.
The only way to respond to rising violent antisemitism is through a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach. Congress is considering the bipartisan, bicameral Jewish American Security Act, legislation to protect Jewish students’ civil rights, strengthen security funding, and study the correlation between online antisemitism and violence against Jews.

Southern Seaboard Region Meeting and Shabbaton
What an unforgettable Southern Seaboard Region Meeting was held the weekend of May 29-31.
Our theme, “Where Healing Meets Purpose,” wasn’t just a banner on the wall - it came alive in every conversation, every story, every shared moment.
We were deeply moved by the courageous women of Beit Am, who opened their hearts about transitioning from Israel to the North Carolina Triangle — building new homes, navigating world events, and finding purpose in the spaces between. Mor Erez’s powerful account of her family’s trauma after October 7 reminded us why community, resilience, and connection matter more than ever.
We were honored to hear from Christina Ramirez of Evolve, whose extraordinary personal journey added yet another layer of strength and inspiration. Her story showed how healing can spark transformation and purpose in ways we don’t always expect.
Our therapists guided us through meaningful healing modalities, offering tools and insights that grounded the weekend in real, accessible practice.
Dale Marcus shared how Hadassah is helping patients move forward after trauma, reminding us that healing is both personal and communal. And the beautiful artwork from the Lerner School 2nd graders, inspired by Youth Aliyah, brought hope, color, and creativity into the room.
Shabbat wrapped us in warmth and spirit - Hinda Lind’s soulful guitar, Dale Marcus' Shabbat service, and a compelling D’var Torah from Christina Ramirez set the tone for reflection and renewal. We closed Havdalah with our own Karen Daniel and then danced the night away with Israeli dance instructors Adam and Maria Holtzman.
It was a weekend of connection, courage, and community - exactly what it looks like when healing meets purpose.
