The latest “Thinking Jewishly” gathering on May 6 brought together six RVA Rabbis and more than 100 community members to discuss different perspectives on Zionism.
Titled Zionism for All Jews - the takeaway: we can agree to disagree and learn something new through civil discussion. The one thing we can all agree on - let’s reflect on all we have in common. They explored how Judaism impacts Zionism and how Zionism impacts Judaism.
The conversation at Congregation Or Atid featured panelists - Rabbi Scott Nagel, Rabbi Dovid Asher, Rabbi Rachel Salston, Rabbi Sherry Grinsteiner, Rabbi Yossel Kranz, and Rabbi Elisha Paul, moderated by community member, Shlomo Skaist.

Thinking Jewishly is our way of coming together to enliven our shared Jewish character, invigorate our passion for being Jewish and curious thinkers, and challenge and learn from one another.
