The Pearl Society’s annual Garden Party offered a beautiful afternoon of learning, philanthropy, and community spirit on Sunday, as approximately 25 women philanthropists gathered to celebrate spring and strengthen their connection to the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond.
Held on the lovely patio of Chabad of Virginia, the event was filled with warmth and camaraderie.
Guests enjoyed a special presentation from Millie Becker, Volunteer Coordinator at Kirva Hospice, a Federation-supported agency providing compassionate, faith-rooted end-of-life care to individuals and families across Greater Richmond.

Millie shared powerful insights into the work Kirva is doing and the ways that Federation helps make this essential care possible.
Following the program, participants enjoyed a hands-on flower arranging workshop led by designer Rebekah Kusterbeck. Under her expert guidance, guests created beautiful floral arrangements.
Together, the group made enough bouquets for every client currently served by Kirva Hospice, ensuring that each would receive a bright and meaningful gift.

After completing the donations, each guest also had the opportunity to create a small arrangement to take home, a lasting reminder of a joyful afternoon spent in community.
The Pearl Society is a giving community within the Federation for women who make a minimum individual gift of $180 or more to the Annual Campaign. Pearl Society members are passionate about making a difference, building relationships, and strengthening Jewish life locally and around the world.
