PJ Library families gathered for a joyful, warm July morning last Sunday at the Weinstein JCC’s Camp Hilbert for PJ Library’s 3rd Annual ColorSplash - even with potential storms in the forecast.  

Sakrinanut - Hebrew for curiosity, framed the activities.  Infants to eight-year-olds, and even grandparents, explored finger paints, painted with cars and various other odd materials like bubble wrap and mesh fabric.  

PJ volunteers devised a creative tie dye station and offered lots of extra hands to help each other.  Our resident 11-year-old volunteer Rebekah helped many tie and dye a rainbow shirt, and also some socks.   

The messy painting stations you might not want at home and the amazing pool facility keep families returning to ColorSplash.

Our Federation team hopes that it’s also the potential for that spark of a new friendship – that's what PJ Library RVA is all about!
