Noa Baum

They’re calling all party animals! Come dressed as your favorite animal and join the community for this joyous holiday.

It will be celebrated this year at the Weinstein JCC on Sunday March 5, from noon to 2:30 p.m. Enjoy favorites like kid-friendly arts and crafts, face painting for all ages, a raffle, participation in a Tikkun Olam project, and more. Food will be available for purchase.

There will be a special storytelling by renowned storyteller Noa Baum! Noa is an internationally acclaimed storyteller, author, and coach. She uses mesmerizing voices, impeccable timing, and warm authenticity to captivate audiences of all ages with stories from diverse cultures and her own rich Jewish heritage.

Children and adults are invited to come dressed as their favorite animal, or just Purim silliness. A goofy hat or your shirt on backwards will do fine.

Don’t forget to visit the Hamantaschen Café and enjoy a freshly backed hamantaschen by Shalom Kosher of Baltimore. Choose from chocolate, cherry, apple, prune, lemon, poppy, apricot, and raspberry! These are $3.50 each or $35 for a dozen.

This event is great for families of all ages and faiths.

The Purim Extravaganza is supported by Richmond Council of Jewish Educators (RCJE), a committee of the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond (JCFR).
