Beth Sholom celebrates and congratulates our 6 team members who were each selected as a Shining Knight for the VCU Health Trauma Center’s fourteenth annual Shining Knight Gala.

They were chosen because of the outstanding care and compassion provided for this year’s featured patient.

Each year, VCU Medical Center hosts a gala to honor dozens of Shining Knights who are recognized for their role in saving the life of one specific trauma patient.

This year that individual is Natalie Rainer who spent a little over a month at Beth Sholom recovering from an accident. Ms. Rainer has nominated the following individuals pictured below to be recognized this year at the Gala as her Shining Knights.

From Beth Sholom’s Nursing Team:

Laurie Ohmen, LPN;  Shaneil Ramgeet, CAN; Danielle Thornton, LPN

From Broad River Rehab Team at Beth Sholom:

Bina Guyer, PT;  Allison Doyle, PTA;  Jacki Vaselick, OTR

The team was recently notified at a special surprise gathering at Beth Sholom with Ms. Rainer. They will be honored at The Shining Knight Gala recognition dinner and ceremony, on Saturday, May 20, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.

“On behalf of Beth Sholom, thank you to Natalie Rainer and VCU for this recognition. I am very proud that our team has been honored with this prestigious “Shining Knight” distinction. Their commitment and dedication exemplifies Beth Sholom’s high standards and quality of care.” stated Morris S. Funk, President and CEO of Beth Sholom Senior Living.
