Upcoming Scheduled March  Programs

March 6 –    Damon Jiggetts, Executive Director, Peter Paul RVA, “Educate, Engage and Empower The East End Neighborhood.” He will discuss the non-profit organization with its mission to support the neighbors of the East End by educating its students, equipping them to serve as positive contributors to their families, community, and society. Programs for all ages include: After School, Summer for kids, Z-Life, 50 + and Food Pantry.

March 13 – Enrich For Life: Intergenerational Pre-Passover Model Seder with the 7th and 8th graders from Rudlin Torah Academy and our active adults. Special Time: 11:30 a.m.

Have fun, meet new people and enjoy a full complimentary Passover Meal. Reservations are a MUST!

March 20 –   NO PROGRAM

March 27 – VIRTUAL ONLY: Ayn Welleford, MSG, PhD, AGHEF: Director, VCU Gerontology, Community and Continuing Education; Topic: Learning to Love our Longevity: Our communities need older adults. Some roles only they can fulfill. We will learn about age oppression and how internalized ageism interferes with the anticipation of elderhood and fulfilling our intended paths. We will embrace the whole person lifespan approach to aging and longevity and explore the tasks of elderhood.
