The 15th Richmond Jewish Food Festival will be held on Sunday and Monday, Jan. 15-16, from 11:30-7:30 at the Weinstein JCC, located at 5403 Monument Avenue. Your traditional favorites will be back for dining in or take-out on Sunday, with only take-out offered on Monday.

Spend your Sunday afternoon and evening experiencing Jewish culture by tasting everything from chopped liver, matzah ball soup, brisket, and knishes to our Israeli selections of schwarma and falafel on pita with hummus and Israeli salad!

Continue your experience by wandering in the shuk (marketplace), where an assortment of vendors will be selling unique local and Israeli products. Stop and shmooze (chat) with our vendors and volunteers to learn more about the items for sale and food selections.

Continue your journey by sampling rugelach, two types of mandelbrot, macaroons, and much more at Bubbie’s Bakery. And don’t forget to top it off with a Dr. Brown’s soda, a glass of Israeli wine, or beer at Zadie’s Bar.

The family-friendly atmosphere will include live music performed by klezmer bands, My Son, The Doctor and the Klezm’or’ami’m, as well as King Sababa. Local Jewish talent, Alan Pollack, will play Gershwin selections on the piano.

Have a packed Sunday schedule? Feel free to take advantage of the Take-Home – Heat ’n Eat option, where you can order and pay online from the www.RichmondJewishFoodFestival.com website, then pick up your refrigerated order inside the Weinstein JCC. If you prefer, you can place your order inside the JCC and pay by credit or debit card (no cash accepted).

Monday’s schedule will host the Take Home – Heat ‘n Eat option only.

Free shuttle service is available on Sunday to the Weinstein JCC from the north side of Monument Avenue and back when you are ready to leave. Admission to the festival is free. Food and merchandise are for purchase.

All food available both days is strictly kosher. Please visit www.RichmondJewishFoodFestival.com for up-to-date information.
