Hadassah Richmond members recently met with State Senators Ghazala Hashmi and Joe Morrissey.
The chapter presented the Jewish perspective on women’s reproductive health to Senator Hashmi on Nov. 30. She appreciated hearing from Hadassah, and the Hadassah Richmond members look forward to joining in support of Senator Hashmi as a new legislative session approaches.
Rabbi Randi Nagel, Gail Moskowitz and Heather Dinkin visited Sen. Morrissey on Dec. 6. They explained the work of Hadassah and our commitment to reproductive freedom. He was particularly interested in our message that Judaism frames the topic of abortion differently than other religions that believe life begins at conception.
