Don’t miss these upcoming Arts + ideas Events taking place in October!
Thursday, 9/8 – Friday, 10/28: The Sara D. November Gallery, sponsored by Hirschler, presents I Won’t Grow Up by Noah Scalin, American artist, known for his creation of the award-winning Skull-A-Day art project weblog. This exhibition features experimental collage works created by Noah Scalin utilizing stickers and examples of the pieces created by his daughter (when she was two years old) that inspired this body of work.
Thursday, 10/13 at 7:30 p.m.: Do you remember the mix tapes you made back in the day with all your favorite songs? We certainly do!
Join us for what promises to be a great evening of music by local performer, Susan Greenbaum and her band. A Mix Tape: Susan’s Playlist will take us back to a simpler time as Susan entertains us with her playlist of favorite songs, most written by Jewish songwriters or performed by Jewish vocalists.
Thursday, 10/27 at 7 p.m.: At our annual Women’s Night Out event on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m., learn the techniques that artist, Noah Scalin uses every day to turn ordinary objects into extraordinary works of art.
In this unique creativity workshop based on his I Won’t Grow Up art exhibition, participants will use their newly found inspiration from Noah’s awe-inspiring presentation to create their own unique work of art in this hands-on, interactive workshop.
Heavy hors d’oeuvres and wine included. Fun and laughter guaranteed!
