Parkside Assisted Living residents have been busy filling and decorating bags full of essential items and snacks for “Housing Families First.”
Housing Families First gives families facing homelessness the opportunity to build a legacy for their families by providing a path to a permanent home.
These “Emergency Bags” will go to their Hillard House Emergency Shelter Program, which is a short-term emergency shelter for up to 40 children and adults, who are on their way to a permanent home but need a safe and supportive stopover.
Beth Sholom will deliver these items within the next few weeks and hopes they bring joy and smiles to all children.
