  • PLAY: Stump the Rabbi! Challenge Rabbi Patrick with your tough Jewish questions and win fabulous prizes.
  • PRAY: Short, musical prayer and song to help us enter into Sacred Time.

No Jewish experience or knowledge required. All ages welcome (Note: we will not have childcare or a designated children’s space). Tickets are $10 per person (price adjusted for fees), or free if you’re under 18. Free tickets are available through our generous donors. Space is limited to 30 people, so please register at https://www.eventbrite.com/o/kehillah-6200085909.

We will only have one Jewish Learning Café this month. On Tuesday, June 14, we will discuss Judaism’s Scandalous Views on Sexuality: Let’s get awkward! It turns out that Judaism’s view on sexuality (including the views found in the Bible) are a lot more open and complex than “thou shalt not have fun.”

Rabbi Patrick takes you through a series of topics to explore how the Jewish view on intimacy changed over time, and how modern people of all genders and identities can build a meaningful sexual ethic for themselves. This series is open to anyone aged 13+ who is Jewish, wants to be Jewish, loves a Jewish person, or is just a little “Jewcurious.”

No Jewish knowledge or experience required. Light refreshments will be provided, sponsored by our friends at NCEJ. We will meet at Gather Midlothian from 6 to 8 p.m. Free entry, but please RSVP through Eventbrite! In lieu of tickets, we’re collecting donations for our mental wellness fund: donorbox.org/kehillah-mental-health-support.

We will also only have one Shabbat dinner on Friday, June 17, in-person at Gather Midlothian from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Enjoy a catered dinner, followed by soulful acoustic melodies led by Robin Rio and words of inspiration with Rabbi Patrick. All are welcome! No Kehillah or Jewish experience required. Tickets are $19/person for your dinner and drinks (price adjusted for fees). Free tickets for those under 18! For tickets, visit https://www.eventbrite.com/o/kehillah-6200085909.

As promised, see the photos from our Pesach celebrations are below. ! Thank you to 2810: a community gathering place and Gather for providing us spaces to host our Carytown Passover Festival and Community Passover Seder.
