5400 Club June Programs


On the June 6, 13 and 20 programs, the 5400 Club at the Weinstein JCC now is scheduled to meet in-person from noon to 1:30 p.m.  The June 27 and July and August programs will be on Zoom only.  The first 50 vaccinated and boosted adults who sign up will be allowed to attend these June programs. The programs also will be on Zoom. A meeting registration link will be emailed to members and guests the Friday before each meeting. June 6 – Dr. Caroline Janney, University of Virginia, “Ends of War: The Unfinished Fight of Lee’s Army after Appomattox.”

June 13 – Edna Friedberg, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, “Chiune Sugihara: Japanese Diplomat who saved thousands of Jews from the Holocaust.”

June 20 – Dr. Harold Holzer, Hunter College, “Lincoln and the Jews.”

June 27 –   ENRICH FOR LIFE: Sara Rosenbaum, Brian Greene and Ellen Renee Adams,  “Our Trip: Update From Ukraine (On Zoom) ENRICH FOR LIFE is sponsored by JFS, Jewish Community Federation of Richmond and VCU Health.

Note: There is a scheduled special drive by lunch available on Sunday, June 26, 1:30-2:30 p.m. RSVP a must to Shari Menlowe-Barck. Note: The programs/speakers listed are scheduled at Reflector press time.  Any changes will be communicated to members.
