It’s definitely showing signs of Spring at Congregation Or Atid!

The children of the Helen and Sam Kornblau Religious School had a great time celebrating Purim on Sunday, March 13. Joined by their parents, they celebrated with dressing in costume, eating yummy treats and a Megillah reading by Rabbi Hal. They definitely enjoyed booing and grogger spinning when Hamen’s name was said! As the photo above shows, they wore various costumes during the celebration.

The new Gan Chesed Kindness Garden, funded, in part, by grants from the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond and Richmond Jewish Foundation, is under rapid development.    During a TuB’Shevat celebration, students from the Helen and Sam Kornblau Religious school planted lettuce seeds as well as a fig tree that will be part of the Kindness Garden.

See the separate article in the Or Atid section with the inspiring remarks made by Terry Schultz, Or Atid congregant.

With Passover days away, we are excited for our first annual Seder Match!   Congregants who have room to host and congregants who are looking for a seder to join have been matched!

Building community has been challenging the last few years, and we are looking forward to more exciting times ahead.
