Kehillah had a blast at our Second Annual Purim Party, and we hope you did too! A massive thank you to our friends at Canon & Draw Brewing Company and Perly’s Delicatessen for sponsoring this event, and to Eagle Protective Group for providing security.

We have three events planned for Passover, both in person and online. Come to our Carytown Passover Festival on Saturday, April 16 at 2810 W. Cary St., featuring Kosher-for-Passover desserts, games and giveaways, and Storytime & Song led by Rabbi Patrick and Robin Rio. This event is free entry, but you must RSVP: www.eventbrite.com/o/kehillah-6200085909. Donations are encouraged to support our holiday programming: https://donorbox.org/shabbat-and-holiday-programming.http://www.eventbrite.com/o/kehillah-6200085909

Our festival will be followed by Seder-ish, our virtual Passover Seder, 5:30-6:30 p.m. We’ll be using our Homebound Haggadah, a Seder service that hits all your favorite Passover moments (without the long, drawn-out parts), and with a focus on spiritual ideas to help make this Passover less like a compromise and more like a moment of joy. All are welcome, interfaith and family friendly—and there is no cost!

Kindly RSVP through Eventbrite so we will know to expect you. You will receive the link from Rabbi Patrick after you RSVP.

Passover Shabbat Seder

Lastly, we will hold a special Passover Shabbat Seder at Gather Midlothian on Friday, April 22 from 6- 8:30 p.m., featuring music by Robin Rio, and Rabbi and Rebbetzin’s home cooking. Manischewitz wine will be provided (feel free to BYO Kosher wine), as well as Kedem grape juice.

Tickets are $36 per person and may be purchased at www.eventbrite.com/o/kehillah-6200085909http://www.eventbrite.com/o/kehillah-6200085909. There is also a $360 sponsor ticket option, which includes five guest RSVPs and supports our Seder.

Monthly Events

We’re also continuing our monthly events. Explore (and debate!) Jewish ideas about life in our adult education series, Jewish Learning Café.

We meet at Gather Midlothian two Tuesdays a month from 6 to 8 p.m. Topics include “All About Passover” on April 12 and “The Conspiracy Against the Soul” on April 19.

Free entry, but kindly RSVP through Eventbrite! In lieu of tickets, we’re collecting donations for our mental wellness fund: donorbox.org/kehillah-mental-health-support.
