March is a busy month for Arts and Ideas at the Weinstein JCC!

First, in honor of the Weinstein JCC’s 75th birthday, artists, who are members of the Center, are invited to submit their artwork to the upcoming exhibit, You Belong Here, in the Sara D. November Gallery.

Submissions will be accepted online from March 1 through April 1 through ArtCall.org.  This juried exhibit, sponsored by Hirschler, will be on display from April 20-June 17 with the gallery opening and reception taking place on Wednesday, April 20 at 7p.m.

Jonathan Blank

Finally, McGuireWoods and McGuireWoods Consulting will present An Evening with Meredith Kopit Levien, president and chief executive officer of the New York Times, in conversation with Jonathan Blank, partner at McGuireWoods on Thursday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m.

A Richmond native and University of Virginia graduate, Meredith is the youngest person ever to lead the executive ranks of the New York Times. Before becoming CEO in September 2020, she served as chief operating officer, overseeing all major commercial operations, including subscriptions, advertising, events, and the cross-functional digital product development organization.

Join us for what promises to be a fascinating discussion about leading one of the top newspapers in the country while facing the challenges of competing in the digital space.

Tickets are $36 each/$25 JCC Members and can be purchased online at weinsteinjcc.org.

The Weinstein JCC is supported, in part, by a generous annual contribution and programming and COVID grants, from the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond.
