On Sunday, Dec. 19, Friendship Circle of Virginia held its first in-person Birthday Circle since March 2020!

FCVA was excited to offer a Friendship Circle favorite, adaptive horseback riding at Mesa Vista Farm.   Seventy participants including teen friends, friends with disabilities, their siblings, and even parents were able to enjoy a 20-minute ride.

A number of new families were welcomed at this event.

Besides horseback riding, crafts such as bracelet making, colorful wood staining, stamping, and coloring were available.

There also were plenty of single-serve snacks, a goody bag for each friend, and of course…cupcakes!  Participants also were allowed to roam the stables and meet the farm’s residents such as Tinker Bell, the pot belly pig, a llama, donkey, and a miniature horse.
