Carytown Hanukkah made its dazzling return on Saturday, Dec. 4 in the Ten Thousand Villages parking lot.

The evening began with some joyful mingling, featuring an “Ask the Rabbi” booth as well as games and prizes. The 15-foot Menorah was the talk of the town!

Children and their families were invited inside the maker-to-market store to enjoy some complementary hot chocolate with a reading of Chanukah Back in Time with Billy and Benny.

Back outside, Rabbi Patrick said a few inspiring words before inviting guests of all ages to help with the grand hanukkiah lighting. The evening closed out with joyful music and delicious latkes courtesy of JewFro restaurant.

We want to thank everyone who joined us in this much anticipated celebration, as well as our sponsors for helping support this inclusive event: Ten Thousand Villages, JewFro, Gather, VA Pride, Diversity Richmond, and Carytown Merchants Association.

We’re already planning events for 2022, so keep an eye on our calendar at:
