The JHV35 Violin pictured is on display at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture until Oct. 24. The restoration work on this violin is dedicated to Wolf and Bunia Rabinowitz, a brother and sister, who were both talented violinists and played multiple concerts in the Ghetto of Vilna during World War II. Both were killed with the last members of the ghetto, most likely in the Ponar forest.

On Oct. 17, at 5:30 p.m., Violins of Hope Richmond will present a special concert at Congregation Beth Ahabah with the Virginia Holocaust Museum.

It will include a work by Jewish composer Viktor Ullmann, who died while in a concentration camp. All guests must be vaccinated. Masks are required.
