RCJE salutes our educators

To celebrate teacher appreciation in May, the Richmond Council for Jewish Education sent gifts to 144 educators working within our local Jewish Community, including our religious schools, RTA, Weinstein JCC preschool and Aleph Bet Preschool.

Alison Litvin, education director at Or Atid led the project and worked with RVA small businesses to share special gifts with our educators.

Educator Says Thanks

One educator shared some thanks, “What a beautiful touch at such an appropriate time. We truly appreciate your appreciation!

We are all genuinely privileged to be serving at the front lines of Jewish education for our youth – our future – and we know this past year it was needed more than ever. Doing it together as a community is a big part of what makes it so special.”

The RCJE is a committee of the Federation that supports community educational programs and supports our local educators through subsidies for professional development.
