Or Atid Religious School News

By Alison Litvin, Religious School Administrator

Classes in the 2020-21 Or Aid school year have remained online since March 2020, but this May students and families were able to gather together outdoors for a Shavuot Picnic to commemorate the end of another year.

Inspired by Zoom’s Whiteboard and Remote Control features, teachers prepared breakout room-style stations to bring the virtual classroom to life as students met in-person for the first time in the year.

Celebrating Accomplishments

Families enjoyed Kona Ice while the Paper Plate Awards were announced, celebrating everyone’s accomplishments in the past year and empowering students to feel proud of their work, eager to continue again in the new school year.

Each student received one final activity kit to make their own personalized, Hebrew-beaded jewelry, and the school year officially ended with one last Havdalah song circle to mark the end of a memorable year unlike any other.
