Join the Weinstein JCC Board of Directors, Leadership and Staff in celebrating the resilience of this past year at a Virtual Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 13 at 5:30 p.m.
The Weinstein JCC will host this year’s event via a Zoom Webinar. This event is free and open to the community. Participants can register at weinsteinjcc.org and reserve their spot.
In order to move forward, we look back and honor all that we have accomplished in this past year despite the most unusual and challenging circumstances. With YOU and your support, WE were able to make it through TOGETHER. This year’s annual meeting is dedicated to the community that supported us, the staff that helped keep the Center open and safe, and the volunteers and leadership that sustain us.
New Board Members
As the Center moves forward, the community is invited to join us in welcoming new Board Members: Greg Samuels and Allen Cohen.
This virtual meeting will also include recognition of this year’s award winners: Shana Levy Passman, winner of the Leroy B. Goldberg Leadership Award for emerging volunteer leadership; and President-Elect Greg Bishop, winner of the Esther, Edith, H. J. Bernstein Volunteer Leadership Award.
Shana Levy Passman
Shana Levy Passman is a long-time member and supporter of the Center, as well as a graduate of the Dora L. Lewis Family and Child Development Center (Weinstein JCC Preschool) and the Young Leadership Program. Her three children are also proud graduates of our preschool program. She serves as the chair of the Youth & Family Committee, member of the Strategic Task Force and the Board Advancement Committee. Additionally, she participated in the Executive Search Committee. Shana has dedicated many hours to the Center during this time period and we are excited to honor her with the Leroy B. Goldberg Award.
Greg Bishop currently serves as the Center’s President Elect. Prior to this position, he served as the Budget & Finance Committee chair for a decade. He has over 15 years of dedicated Board service to this Center. His three children are proud graduates of the Dora L. Lewis Family and Child Development Center and have attended Camp Hilbert many times over the years. Greg has been very helpful in guiding the Center through the PPP process and ensuring the financial stability of the Center.
We are very happy to have Greg serving on the board and excited to honor him with the Esther, Edith, and H.J. Bernstein Volunteer Leadership Award.
Safely distanced, but still close at heart, this virtual meeting will be one to remember.
The Weinstein JCC is supported, in part, by a generous annual contribution, programming grants and COVID-19 Crisis Relief Funds from the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond.
