On Sunday, May 2 at 3 p.m. EST via Zoom, the Arts + Ideas’ Sip & Learn series will present, “I Am My Mother’s Daughter,” featuring hometown gal and author, Dara (Hirsch) Kurtz.
Many years after losing her mother to cancer, Dara discovered a Ziploc bag of letters written to her by both her mother and grandmothers when she was a young child. They brought back beautiful family memories, taught her many life lessons about the love between mothers and daughters, and the wisdom passed on from one generation to the next.
Dara passed down these family traditions to her two daughters, who carry on the legacy contained in the Ziploc bag. Through her book and successful blog, “Crazy Perfect Life, Dara shares this legacy and the lessons she learned in overcoming cancer with others.
Dara inspires others to make the most of every day of their lives.
