Kehillah Happenings

Kehillah is Virginia’s only independent, progressive Jewish community and is served by Rabbi Patrick Beaulier and Rebbetzin Stefanie Papps, along with an amazing group of staff and volunteers.

Our mission is to inspire people socially, spiritually and intellectually, no matter who you are, where you’re from or where you are going, because you matter.

For more information about how Kehillah can be part of your journey, go to https://kehillahrva.org.

Check out the events currently at Kehillah:

Seder-ish: Virtual Seder: Join us for a virtual Seder Sunday, March 28 at 6 p.m. We’ll be using our Homebound Haggadah, a Seder service that hits all your favorite Passover moments (without the long, drawn-out parts), and with a focus on spiritual ideas to help make this Passover less like a compromise and more like a moment of joy. All are welcome, interfaith and family friendly—and there is no cost! Kindly RSVP at https://kehillahrva.org/rsvp-for-our-virtual-seder so we will know to expect you! You will receive the link from Rabbi Patrick after you RSVP.

Passover Care Packages: While we can’t spend Passover together this year, we still want you to have a taste of a Kehillah Passover Seder with our Passover Care Package. Included in your package are: Charoset Mix Goodie Bag, a staple of the Passover Seder plate (if we run out, you’ll get some matzah); vintage Jewish books to give you a little inspiration; and information about our digital Passover offerings.

All will be delivered safely to your home on Sunday, March 21, dropped off by a Kehillah community member at your door. Signup began Feb. 27 and ends March 20. Go to https://kehillahrva.org/passover-care-package. Please note that this free gift is only available to 20 people within 10 miles of downtown Richmond and Midlothian. One package per household.

Biweekly Shabbat Morning Prayer & Learning: Join Rabbi Patrick March 6 and 20 at 10 a.m. for easy-to-read prayers and discussion on weekly topics relevant to you. It’s Jewish life, in your life! No Jewish experience required . . . or preferred! To join the video meeting, go to https://whereby.com/kehillah.

We are constantly adding new events to our calendar—stay updated by joining our email list (https://kehillahrva.org/contact) and liking our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/kehillahrva).
